Meeting Minutes for September 1st, 2015

I.) Welcome New Faces!
A.) Sarah – Discovered the club via Alyssa

B.) Amy – Discovered the club via the Google wizards

II.) Previous Events:
A.) Ren Faire Outing: Awesome! Over a dozen of us went. Great weather, too!
B.) Wizard World/Comic-Con: No one went, but was rumored to be somewhat disappointing
C.) Spaceballs outing: Still a great film!
D.) Other August Stuff?
Portal Stories: Mel, GoW: Ultimate Edition, MGS V: The Phantom Pain, & MegaMan: Legacy Collection all released.
III.) Upcoming Events:

A.) Student Life Fair (Wed, Sept. 2^nd @ 10am–1pm.): Sandra, Beach, & Julian will man the table.
B.) Sponsored Film: Absolutely Anything?:It may not release in the US at all. Alternate Possibility: Wed., Sept. 16^th, 7:30 PM, the last 2 episodes of Dr. Who will be in REAL3D

C.) “COD Cares” Game Day:
1.) Tentative date: 10am-5pm, Sat. November 7^th

2.) If Brody is available, he will offer to teach Sentinels of the Multiverse;

3.) Lauren may be able to run a game of Splendor.

4.) Number of members needed as GMs/Players dependent on number of kids attending

D.) ConCeption Gaming Convention (October 2^nd, 3^rd, & 4^th)
1.) The people behind this bring TONS OF HELP to CODCON through their massive with the board game library

2.) They want us to help set up, take stuff down, & run games.

3.) Brody, again, if available, will be happy to offer his service as a GM for SotM.

1.) Con+Alt+Delete – December, bring up later

2.) If we go enough months without sponsoring a movie, maybe laser tag, or some other option? Adventure Quest maybe?

1.) Mr. Figures – CODCON vendor we will consider courting

C.) Advisor’s Report

1.) Laps for the Chaps: We! SHALL NOT! RUN! Talk to Doc if you want to register; must get registration in by Friday, Sept. 11!.
2.) ChapLife: If you’ve not registered on ChapLife yet, PLEASE DO SO ASAP!!

3.) Living Leadership Conference: Sat. Sept. 12, 9am-4:30pm in SSC 3245

4.) COD Fall Open House: Wed., Sept. 16—6:00 – 8:30 PM. Volunteers needed to staff the table (just like Activities Fair)

5.) Memberships: All 2014-2015 memberships expire TODAY—Renew SOON!
