I)  New Members:  David and Peter

II.) Old Business:

A.    Terra Nova:  Avatar meets Jurassic Park with cops

B.     Movies:  Nothing to mention

C.     Doctor Who:  Season Finale: ???AWESOME???  He’ll be back for X-mas, but not again until next Fall?!?

D.    Star Trek Convention:  Leonard Nimoy’s last.  He will be as missed as the convention was.

III.) New Business:

A.) Approved Movies for October:

1.      Real Steel (Oct. 7)

2.      The Thing (Oct. 14)

3.      The Three Musketeers (Oct. 21)

B.) Sponsored Movie for October: In Time (Oct. 28)

C.) JoySkillz: Saturday, Oct.15 (10am-11pm) Room SSC 3245

Bring consoles, games, and $$$ for food run; we’ll supply pop (always MOUNTAIN DEW!)      

IV.) CODCON Stuff:

A.) Zombies!  If you can run a game using zombies (RPG, Board, Miniatures, Video, etc.), let us know!  We’ll start posting events on the website in January

B.) If you help out with artwork for the website, and are chosen, you may get nice stuffs

C.) We need to buy props right after Halloween.

D.) Photo booth: We could have folks get a picture taken looking like a zombie.  They print right away, and we could hook up a screen and scroll through all the pictures that we had taken so far.  Prints are about $.50 apiece; could sell for $2.00 or so.

3.) Upcoming events

            A.)ConCeption: It’s awesome! Please help us. Only $30 for the whole weekend, $15 for the day.  Tell them you are a student you get $5 off the cost.   Go to http://concentricconventioncompany.com/site/index.php.

            B.)Films: Tucker and Dave, Sept. 30th (a.k.a. next weekend). You will want to see, we think it shall be quite entertaining…yes quite. The point being you must come see this film. Check Facebook and e-mail for times and such; it’s an APPROVED film.

C.)Other:

                        -Terra Nova comes out next week. Be excited.

                        -Out of the Darkness Walk: To help prevent suicide in Chicago . September 24th starting at 8am.   For details, go to http://afsp.donordrive.com/event/chicagoland.  NOTE: If you go, be sure to let Doc know.  Also, try to take pictures so we can include them in our portfolio.

Leadership Retreat! 2011

Alright so we went out of our comfort zone into the sunlight, the very bane of my personal existence. Anyways here are some great pictures of us being social at the leadership retreat. Much fun was had, and food. It is something that we defiantly would recommend, there is fun stuff to do and a tons of free time.

JOYSKILLZSZ: Feb. 26

Our next Joyskillzsz Video Game Day will be Saturday, Feb. 26 from 10 AM – 11 PM in SRC 1480.  We’ll have 15 monitors going!  Plenty of X-Box games (Halo, CoD, Guitar Hero, etc.).  Bring your own console and games as well!
